Glen & Ruth Deligdisch (North Carolina)

Field Ministries Representative / Charlotte, North Carolina

What is your background, and what is unique to your role at The Friends of Israel?

I was born and raised in Canada and received a bachelor’s degree in aviation technology from Moody Bible Institute and a second bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I hold a North Carolina CPA license. I served as a pilot/mechanic with Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Philippines. I have dedicated many years to studying, preaching, and teaching God’s Word. Partnering with FOI provides the opportunity to reach an even wider audience and to show that God has not forgotten His people, Israel.

What inspires you most to do what you do for FOI?

In my college years, I learned from my father that I am a Jew. More importantly, I am a Jew who has been redeemed by the blood of Yeshua HaMashiach. This creates a great burden in my life of service for my people.

What is one bit of wisdom you have for those who want to share the love of the Messiah with others?

Be gentle. Work at sharing the Good News of Yeshua HaMashiach within the context of genuine friendship. It is important to earn the right to share the gospel lovingly.

What Scripture compels you the most to do what you do?

I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. …Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them (Israel) is for their salvation (Romans 9:1–2; 10:1).
