What is unique to your role at The Friends of Israel?
I worked in the IT and education sector for years before joining The Friends of Israel, along with a heart to connect with young adults and late teens, and teaching the Bible. I believe God will use these skills and desires to reach our young people who desperately need correct doctrinal teaching, truth, and encouragement to stand firm against a world opposed to the truth of our eternal God and the Bible.
What inspires you most to do what you do for FOI?
The pursuit of truth and love of the Bible. These two things have pushed me to share the Word, minister to people, and have ignited a love for Israel. My studies of the Holocaust has also pushed me to want to warn people of the horrors that sinful men are capable of.
What is one bit of wisdom you have for those who want to share the love of the Messiah with others?
Proverbs 16:9 says, “A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.” Remember that you are just human and cannot save anyone or yourself. The Holy Spirit will be the one convicting hearts, and Jesus saving people/giving you everything. That realization should give you the boldness and desire to share the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. The Lord will provide the opportunities, the words, and the love to connect to people to share His Word.
What Scripture compels you the most to do what you do?
Two passages really are what compels me forward to do what I do as a Church Rep. Proverbs 3:5-7 reminds me that despite my knowledge and plans, God is the one directing my path. While 2 Timothy 4:2-4 challenges me to continue to be ready to answer questions in truth despite that this world does not want truth.
What books have you read (other than the Bible) that have impacted your spiritual life most?
I have mostly kept to the Bible as a book that affects my spiritual life. I do have some books that I consider very impactful as I continue to understand the Word: Forsaking Israel: How it Happened and Why it Matters by Shepherds Theological Seminary Faculty, Game of Gods by Carl Teichrib, and The End Times Controversy by Tim Lahaye and Thomas Ice.
Who is the most influential person in your spiritual life?
Other than my Father who provided the foundation of my Spiritual life, which is the Bible. My current Pastor John Feakes, has grown that understanding and continues to help me grow deeper in my understanding of the Word.
