What is unique to your role at The Friends of Israel?
The Lord has taken a “prodigal,” who spent nearly 40 years in the wilderness, and brought him to a place of active ministry.
What inspires you most to do what you do for FOI?
The love and compassion the Lord has given me for His Chosen People, along with the intensity of the hatred directed against the Jewish people, compels me to act.
What is one bit of wisdom you have for those who want to share the love of the Messiah with others?
First and foremost, spend time with the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Seek the Lord’s leading, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5–6). Pursue training, such as FOI Equip and the Bridges program, and ask the Lord to provide a mentor.
What Scripture compels you the most to do what you do?
“Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.” — Deuteronomy 32:43 (KJV)
“But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” — Jeremiah 31:33 (KJV)
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.” — Zechariah 8:7–8 (KJV)
What books have you read (other than the Bible) that have impacted your spiritual life most?
The Bushman and the Spirits and Bush-Trails by Owen C. Salway
Journey to a Lonely Land by Bernard Palmer
Shadow of the Almighty by Elisabeth Elliot
By My Spirit by Jonathan Goforth
How I Know God Answers Prayer by Rosalind Goforth
Battle for Yanga and A World of Treasure by V. Ben Kendrick
The Zion Connection by Elwood McQuaid
Who is the most influential person in your spiritual life?
The Lord has used many different people to impact my life over the years, but one of the most significant has been Chuck Missler (1934–2018).
In the spring of 2021, as the Lord was drawing me back to Himself after nearly 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, I first encountered Chuck Missler’s teaching. It was specifically in regard to the Rapture, a doctrine that is under fierce attack. I already believed the Rapture to be true, but I needed solid, Bible-based teaching—and I found that in his ministry.
